Love the Van der Woodsen pad on Gossip Girl? Here's the scoop on the look, courtesy of Instyle.
Set decorator refers to the space as a "rejection of the conventions of the Upper East Side while still respecting many of it's traditions and values", which I think is a great decription of the space!
Living Room
The sofas are Desiron and are a great blank slate for colorful throws and pillows and are set upon a blue-slate rug. Since Lily's an avid art collector, there is no lack of colorful artwork in the space, like pieces from Jessica Craig Martin. Ralph Lauren armachairs sit on either side of a more modern-looking wire pouf side table. Other accents in the room include the blue vintage table lamps from Center 44 in Manhattan.
Serena's Bedroom
Wanting to ensure Serena's bedroom truely matched her personality, they used a lot of bold patterns and metallic touches. The walls are covered in polka dot Roma fabric, which I feel kinda give the room an eastern-vibe. The inciredibly elegant linens are a combo of Barbara Barry and L'Erba linens, available at Bloomingdales, and the silver cushions add to the youthfulness of the space. Most of the other pieces are vintage, including the nightstands and seatee. The clear Bourgie lamps are from Conran USA
Dining Room
The ABC Home dining table has a blue stone top and hammered steel legs, and is paired with Cherner chairs available at Design Within Reach . Below, is a Masrey carpet from Crate and Barrel .
Home Office
Sitting at the bottom of the stairs, Lily's workspace mixes refined with eclectic. The Eames chair and ottoman are fantastic pieces, especially when re-covered in Missoni fabric. The top of the desk and the desk chair were also covered in fabric - faux elephant hide!! The cowhide rug is from ABC Home and is a great contrast for the more traditional, Louis-style desk.
